Our Team

  • John Sutton National Director of Criminal Law

    John is the National Director of Criminal Law at Armstrong Legal and head of the Criminal Law Division. He was admitted to practice law in NSW in 1999 and prior to that had five years advocacy experience in the Local Court of NSW as a prosecutor. and head of the Criminal Law Division.

    He was admitted to practice law in NSW in 1999 and prior to that had five years advocacy experience in the Local Court of NSW as a prosecutor.

    John is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of NSW and Victoria and the High Court of Australia, though he can appear in any jurisdiction as required.

  • Andrew Tiedt

    Andrew brings to Armstrong Legal a unique ability to effectively represent his clients and ensure they obtain the best possible result. He has handled cases across the entire spectrum, including prosecutions for murder, fraud, violence and drug offences. He also has experience in handling ASIC and Tax investigations as well as Roads and Maritime matters.

  • Michael Hempsall

    Michael has appeared in hundreds of criminal and traffic matters right across the spectrum of offences and applications including prosecutions for drugs, violence, sexual offences, fraud, larceny, drink driving and many more. In each case he brings to bear a wealth of insight into the court and judicial process.

  • Trudie Cameron

    Trudie is thorough and dedicated, working with her clients to develop a strategy to achieve the best results possible. She recognizes that a clients' matter extends beyond the law itself into other consequences such as work, travel, physical and mental health, and clients' relationships with families and friends, and she is skilled at guiding clients through what is often the most difficult time of their life.

  • Will Del Din

    Since his admission as a solicitor Will has practiced exclusively in traffic and criminal law and is well equipped to advise his clients in these areas. Will rigorously applies his impressive communication skills and legal analysis to each matter. He is skilled at preparing each client for what to expect from the court process and working with his clients to achieve the best result possible.

  • Angela Cooney

    Angela is an experienced Court advocate having appeared in the Local and District Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal as well as in Federal jurisdictions in a multitude of matters, including complex strictly indictable trials. After graduating with First Class Honours and prior to joining Armstrong Legal, Angela worked as a criminal lawyer on the Far South Coast of NSW.

  • Tyson Brown

    Tyson has the ability to relate to all clients on a personal level, having spent many years prior to his legal career in customer service and hospitality. Tyson completed his internship as an Associate to a Judge of the District Court of NSW. In that role, he experienced advocacy and criminal law from a unique perspective, gaining valuable insight into a Judge’s expectations.
